Home Sweet Home!

Can you believe those cheeks? Too cute!!! We were finally on our way home from our trip. She was so good, she only got fussy one time on the trip. She was such a trooper, especially since we were in the car for about 12 hours on Saturday!!! What a good girl!!!!

Our look out crew!!

Kevin and Craig were really on the look out for some big bull elk!! We saw a few but nothing too fantastic!! At least this year we didn't see any try to kill any humans!!!! I was grateful for that!! The waterfalls are so pretty. We saw quite a few. The leaves around the Tetons were so bright. It looked like a painting. My pic didn't do it justice, the sun was too bright but it was so incredible. When we stopped to take the last picture of the Tetons there were 5 moose in the river. A big bull and 4 cows. It was awesome, they are my favorite!!!

Jorie's first vacation!!!

Well we went to Yellowstone and Jackson Hole this weekend. We usually go every year on the last weekend of September. We weren't planning on going this year because it would be hard with the baby and we always go with Jess and Mindi but he had surgery and couldn't go. Kevin called me on Friday afternoon and told me to get the bags packed and we were going. We went with Craig and Julie and we had so much fun!! We didn't see nearly as many animals as we usually do but everything is so pretty this time of year!! I love fall!!! I hope Kevin didn't wear Julie out!!! He can be a lot to take!! Julie hadn't been since she was little so we actually got to go to Old Faithful. I was glad because Kevin usually doesn't like to go there. It was awesome. Jorie was so good. I couldn't believe it!!! She is such a good baby!!!!!

Not so happy camper!!

Well the poor little fart has been having some issues lately!! Last week she had some blood in her poop so we took her into the doctor. They thought that she had a virus so they did some stool samples and they came back negative for anything funny. So they were thinking that the dairy products that I was eating were bothering her tummy so no more dairy for me!!! I am dying without my glass of milk for breakfast and avoiding butter is NOT easy. Eating out is a joke but it's a small price to pay!!! Anyway, we went back on Monday and they did an x-ray of her tummy. They thought it looked good and so they still said no dairy. Well today, they called back and said the radiologist thought maybe it looked funny so they wanted to do another. They did another stool sample, more blood, and another xray. Then they wanted to draw blood. I kinda panicked because Kevin does better at that than I do but I was brave and Jorie was brave. They ended up poking her 4 times in 2 hours. Twice in the arms, once in the foot and then in her hand. We were both a little upset by the time we left but Jorie was so good!! Everything came back normal so still no dairy. I'm so glad that's all it is. That is pretty minor and the doctor says she should grow out of it so in a couple of months I can try dairy again and see how she does. What a week!!!! She is 6 weeks old today. I can't believe how the time flies!!!! I just want to freeze it so she can't get any older!!! She is so fun and such a good baby!!! We are so lucky to have her!!!!!!

Dad's favorite

I can't believe how big she is getting!!! Last week at the doctor she weighed 11 pounds!!! She is such a funny girl. The white and pink outfit is Kevin's favorite. We had to take some pics of her in it because she is just about too big for it. He bought it for her in March. Before she was born he would to go in her room and hold it. He is so funny!!!

Sleeping Beauty!

Well we have a really hard life if you can't tell!!! This was a few weeks ago. We were going to Salt Lake to pick up Kevin's latest toy-a 4-wheeler- and this is how excited she was!! She loves to sleep in dad's lazy boy recliner. He shares it with her, she's pretty lucky, he doesn't share with anyone!!!

Diaper fiasco!!

The other night Kevin was in charge of the baby so I could finally get in the shower. I had just got undressed when he yelled for me to bring him a diaper. I put on my robe and went out to the family room. He had the baby laying on the couch and he took her diaper off. She apparently wasn't done pooping so he started to yell, "Quit puckering!!!". Of course she didn't and then she started peeing. It was all over the couch and all the way up his arm to his shoulder. It was so funny that I started laughing so hard that I started to pee too. I didn't make it to the bathroom quite in time and with only a bathrobe on, it wasn't so good. Poor Kevin, he just sat there and shook his head and said he couldn't take two women with bathroom issues!!! He was a pretty good sport about it but needless to say, he's a little gun shy with the diaper duty and he doesn't ask for me to bring him things anymore!!!!!! He's such a good sport!!! We love him so much. He always keeps us laughing!!!!

First real photo shoot!

We had Jorie's pictures taken a couple of weeks ago. She didn't like it too much. Erin, the photographer did such and awesome job. Jorie was wide awake the whole time. I kind of wanted some of her sleeping but oh well, ya take what you can get. Erin got some really good ones of her hand. I was glad for that because I wanted some to show her when she gets older. My mom also got us a handprint kit so we will have that and some cool pictures to show her. After we were all done with pictures she put both hands over her eyes and fell asleep for almost 5 hours. It was traumatizing!!!! She has learned to suck her thumb, the one thumb, not the two. It's pretty cute but I don't really want to have to break that habbit!

Here are just some more pics. She is changing so much I can't even believe it. The one of her and Hunter makes me laugh. She just looked so little next to him. When they get married we can put that in their wedding video!!!!! Proud grandpa with both grandkids. Cooper looks so big compared to her too. I don't ever thing she's that small until she is next to someone else. Her hair is growing a little. I think it's going to have some red in it!!!! I hope so! I can't really decide who she looks like. Some people say me and some people say Kevin so who knows!!! I just think she's dang cute so that's all that matters!!! I'm a little proud!!!!

Jorie

Ok, I am finally trying to get caught up. Sorry, I suck!!! So when Jorie was born Kevin was the one who noticed the extra thumb first. He panicked a little but then once he realized everything was ok then he was ok. He was so good while I was in labor. He didn't pass out, I was so proud! And he even cut the cord. After we got over the shock of the thumb the doctors told us that she had an infection and jaundice so they would probably have to put her in the NICU. They did tons of tests and decided that she didn't have an infection after all but that she did have to go home with the lights for the jaundice. She had her very own tanning bed, lucky!!! She did so good. She was so good and never cried. It was so hard not to hold her though. She had to be on the lights all the time, she could only come out to eat. It killed me!! She had to be on them for 3 days. The worst part was taking her in everyday to have her heels poked, well really sliced, so they could test her levels. Kevin had to go in with her because I couldn't take it. I will do really well with the whole surgery thing! After that though everything was good and she is such a good baby. We are so lucky!!
