Ugly Sweater Party

My family had our annual Christmas party on Saturday night and this year it was an ugly sweater contest. It was hilarious!!! I can't believe how many UGLY things people were able to find. Bless the DI!! We had a judge come in and we all had to parade in front of them and then they decided who won. My cousing Megan won cash and I can't remember what her category was but her vest had Ragedy Ann and Andy on it-it was hideous!! Her friend Jess won best accessories-she had a huge tule bow in her hair and nasty socks. My cousin Josh won-I don't remember his category either- but he bought a maternity sweater at the DI in Preston. It had hearts and fringe!! It was really bad!!! Trevor won best overall (I think?) and his was a hot pink turtle neck with a handmade vest. They were women's. He won a nights stay at the Hampton Inn. It was so fun. The pics just don't do us justice!! I think we need to do it every year!!

I love cookies!!!

On Sunday Kevin's cousins brought us a plate of homemade goodies. (I look forward to it every year!!) It had all kinds of yummy homemade candy on it and of course Jorie saw it and was dying to have some. So of all things on the plate Kevin gave her an Oreo cookie dipped in red chocolate. She absolutely loved it and was being so funny while she was eating it. She would take a bite and then show us what was in her mouth and then she would just get a huge cheesy grin on her face. It was hilarious. Then she would try to share it with Kevin. We have been working on sharing, maybe it's working! Funny girl!!

Kevin's Mountain Lion

Oh how I love being married to a mighty hunter!! Kevin got a Mountain Lion again this year. It's a pretty good one.....I think. I don't know that much about it but it looks big to me. It looked like it had been fighting, it some pretty big scars on it's head. He was quite excited. I don't love when it's laying on the garage floor and I have to go out to feed the dogs. I don't like it looking at me, I keep waiting for it to get me!! :) They are huge!! Very pretty too!! Good job Kev, now will you stay home with me? Hahaha!!

Cute Cousin Coop

Isn't he too cute? He is hilarious. Last sunday night at my mom's he wouldn't eat any dinner because he kept telling us that everything was HOT but wouldn't you know that he could lick the frosting off the spatula? Funny how that wasn't too hot!! He loved to play in the cupboard under my mom's stairs. It was pitch black in there and he just wanted to go sit in there. I was teasing Trevor and Megan that they must lock him in a closet at home and that's why he's so comfortable in one. Kevin fell asleep on the couch and Coop walked over and hit him and yelled "Hey!" and laughed and ran off when Kevin jumped! Too funny. We love him!!!

Last Sunday

Last Sunday was my mom's birthday so we went over to her house for dinner and to put her Christmas decorations. Jorie and Cooper are so funny to watch. He is a ton bigger than her and they tell eachother "No" a lot. Kelli gave them both the books from Hallmark that you record yourself reading the story. It's "The night before Christmas." Jorie LOVES hers. She opens it and walks around while Kelli reads the story. When the page is done she changes it to the next one and walks around some more. She loves Kelli!!! Don't the boys look like they are having fun? They are all a big bunch of party poopers!!!! Happy Birthday Mom!!! You're the best!!! We love you!!

New favorite book

So Jorie LOVES to read. She will go sit in the corner where her books are and she will read for a long time all by herself. It's really nice!! :) Well I had to run to family dollar the other day and they gave me a toy add. Jorie absolutely LOVES it. She looks at it seriously about 10 times a day. Dora is in there 3 times and she knows exactly where she is. She gets so excited. I don't know why I even bother buying things. Her favorite toys are laundry baskets and adds!! Too funny!

Dora with Dad

Jorie's favorite thing right now is anything that has Dora the Explorer on it. She gets so excited when she sees her. I have recorded a few episodes so she can watch them and the other night Kevin was nice enough to watch it with her. Don't they look so comfy? It's really funny when he starts singing along with all the songs. He knows them all!! That's a dedicated dad!!!

Happy Halloween!!!

We had such a great Halloween!! Mindi and I decided to take the kids to the mall for some trick-or-treating. It was packed with kids!! The kids were so good and I think they had fun. I think Mindi and I enjoyed it more but oh well! We saw Trevor and Megan and Cooper there and Kelli was working so it was so fun for us all to be together for a minute. Cooper was duck and he looked so dang cute!! Jorie was a "Pumpkin Fairy" and Hunter was a lizard/dragon. They were all so cute! Then Mindi and I took the kids to lunch and then it was nap time so we headed home. After nap time Jorie and I headed up to trunk-or-treat to see everyone. It was so much fun. Jorie made the haul, lucky for me she's young enough she doesn't mind sharing!! Then we went to Mike and Susan's for some yummy dinner and then we came home and went to bed. Jorie was exhausted!! It was such a fun day!! I love Halloween and I can't wait for next year!!!!

It's finally growing!!

I'm so excited that Jorie's hair is finally growing so we can play with it!! It's so fun to try new things and I'm so glad that she cooperates....most of the time!! This makes her look so old, I'm not sure if I like that part!!

Buckle me up!!

On Wednesdays when I have Hunter, Jess just sets his carseat in my entry way before he leaves. The other day Jorie and Hunter were in there and they were being really quiet which isn't always a good sign. I went in there to check on them and Jorie was sitting in the carseat and Hunter was trying to get her buckled in. It was so funny. Hunter loves to do up buckles so it was pretty cute. They play so well together. They are so fun to watch.

Do they go here?

My mom gave Jorie these cute glow-in-the-dark jammies for Halloween and some cute Dora undies. She absolutely LOVES anything with Dora on it. We opened the package and she knew right where the undies were supposed to go. She put them on over her pants and then where did she put the other pair? Oh yes, on her head because that's where they go right? Oh boy! And I was hoping potty training (someday:)) would be easy!! Hahaha! She really wore them like that for about an hour and would get so mad when I would try to take them off. Too funny!

Giddy-Up!

Jorie got this barn for her birthday and I'm not sure why but she really likes to ride it. It's so funny! She sits on it and bounces up and down. That silo in the butt can't feel too good!!!

I really do fix her hair!!

So I got looking thru the other pics on here and Jorie looks like an orphan in most of them!!! So here is a little proof that I really do attempt to fix her hair every now and then!!! :)

Yellowstone 2009

We went on our annual Yellowstone trip last weekend. It was quite an interesting trip this time! First of all we decided that we shouldn't take two 1 year olds in the car for that long. They didn't have too much fun!! Really they were pretty good but it was a tone of work for Mindi and I!! We decided that next year they might have to stay home with grandmas!!! The weather was awesome and the fall leaves were georgeous! When we got there we found out the west entrace was closed and we were staying in West Yellowstone on Sat. night so we had to detour down by Old Faithful. That is quite a detour! Then we also found out there was a big fire there too so they were closing another main road off and on. We got in but we weren't sure if we were going to be able to get out!! Not good with the babies!! If we would have got stuck in, the only way to West would have been to go to Bozeman, a 6 hour detour!!! Mindi and I were very nervous about that, but not the boys, they didn't care!! Of course they didn't, they were in the front without the screaming children!!!! Luckily after driving around all day we were able to get to West. What a circus!!! All in all it was a great time. I'm already looking forward to next year!!!! Maybe kid free? We'll see. The fire was so cool to see!!! That was probably the coolest thing we saw!!!! Thanks Gibbs family for another great trip!! It's a great tradition!!

Two tornadoes

Mindi and I have been lucky to be able to switch babysitting days.
The other day when Hunter came over I locked all three of us in Jories room to play and I took this picture about ten minutes later. I can't believe how big of a mess two 1 year olds can make! Luckily they play really well together.... most of the time anyway!

Funny girl!!

So Jorie got this crown for her birthday and she CONSTANTLY wears it as a necklace. She puts it on right when she wakes up and wears it all day!! The pics aren't great but since she is always on the go they are the best I could do. Oh ya, do you like the camo hat with the princess crown? Nice!!

Our harvest!

A couple Sunday's ago we rode down to the corn maze and got to walk thru for a little while. It was pretty fun, Kevin says that was him going and not to ask for him to go again!! We'll see!! Then we came home and picked our pumkins. We had quite the pumpkin patch. We got over 20 pumpkins!!! Jorie was having a blast playing in the dirt! She seriously has the craziest hair!!! I don't quite know what to do with it!!
