I went to the doctor yesterday and I am 50% effaced and dialated to a 1. It's not much but it's something!! Kevin is so ready he can't stand it! Easy for him to say, he doesn't have to deliver!! I would love to have her on 08/08/08 but whenever we get her, we get her!!! I am ok until the 15th, that's just a little more sleep for me!!!!

Jorie's Room

Here are some pics of the babies room. Kevin did an awesome job. The walls were already red so we added the beadboard and all the flowers. She is already spoiled rotten and she isn't even here yet!! I had to put the halt on Kevin's spending!! Teri, Kevin's sister, has sent us so much stuff. She has two little girls and she sent 6 garbage bags full of baby clothes, some of them with the tags still on them! I didn't even know where to put it all!! She now has 100 hangers in her closet with clothes on them, all ranging in sizes 0 mos to a year and a dresser with 6 full drawers! The rest are in a tote in the basement! I will have to change her clothes 4 times a day just so she can wear them all. How would it be, I wish I had that many clothes! Thanks Teri-you're the best!! We got lots of fun stuff at our showers too. People are so kind!! I can't wait for her to get here. I am so excited!! 2 and 1/2 weeks and counting!!

Baby Jorie

We found out we were going to have a baby last December 8th. It was a very good day since it just wasn't as easy as people said it would be!! I have had a great pregnancy. I have been so lucky because I wasn't sick at all!! I feel so good. My legs look like tree stumps and my feet like bricks but that is all okay with me!! We found out in March that we were having girl. We were so excited. Neither of us cared what we were having but it was just nice to finally know so we could start planning! Kevin finished her room in about a week. I don't think he went to bed before 1am that whole week! He did an awsome job, her room is so dang cute. The pics just don't do it justice! We are going to name her Jorie Sue. My great-grandmas name was Marjorie and we kinda wanted a family name so we just shortened it to Jorie. It's different but we both like it so I quess that's all that matter right?

The dogs

Here are our dogs. Jack and Sammi. Jack is Kevins hunting buddy, I'm pretty sure if he had to choose me or the dog, he would pick the dog! Sad huh? And the boxer is mine. Pretty much she's not really good for much other than to laugh at. She keeps us laughing lots. She has too much personality for her own darn good!! All she does all day is torment the crap out of Jack. If I was him I would just eat her and get it over with but he's a good sport.

The Yard

Here is our yard. Kevin is kind of a freak about the yard. He loves to mow the lawn and he freaks out about even the littlest weed in the grass. He has worked very hard and has done a very good job to get it looking nice. We have a little orchard with apples and peaches (don't worry the peaches didn't grow this year!!) Next year we are going to add some apricots, cherries and plums. Then you will all have to come and pick fruit!! He planted 150 trees in our backyard last year. I know, I don't quite think thats enough! He left a clearing out in the middle for a firepit and table and stuff. We are just going to call it Norman Nation Forest and charge by the car load. The trees are all quite small right now but it will be really fun when it is all grown in. He can't wait to build a tree house! He spent a lot of time getting the garden ready this year. He used the tape measure and everything to make sure that the rows were all nice and even and he planted flowers along the edge so it looked nice. He forgot however, to till some fertilizer into the soil so it would all grow good. So needless to say, the beans and peas and carrots didn't do too well. He was a little angry when nothing was growing at a rate he thought was acceptable so he decided he hated it and let the weeds take over. That's that red hair in him!! We still might get some corn and pumpkins out of the deal and hopefully you will be able to see the colorful flowers thru the beautiful green weeds!!

Our House

Here is our house. We started building our house in March of 2005 and we got to move in the day before Thanksgiving of that same year. I love my house!! Kevin did such a good job. He is so talented and I am so grateful for him and all he does!!
