Surgery date!!

Well we went down to Primary Children's today to meet with Jorie's surgeon. He was nice so that made me feel a little better!!! We scheduled her surgery for Dec. 17. He said it should be pretty easy. They may have to move some tendons around, which is what we were expecting. He also said that if he thinks her good thumb is going to keep growing crooked then they will put a little pin in it. Hopefully they won't have to do that, he just said there was a chance that could happen. We were going to wait until she was a few months older but the doctor said once they were at least 3 months old it was ok to give them the anesthesia. Plus if we do it before the end of the year we don't have to start over with our deductible. Fun insurance stuff!!! I will be very glad when it's all over and I can quit stressing about it!!! They said she will be in a soft cast for about a month after the surgery so she will be in one for Christmas. Fun huh? I'm just glad she's young enough she won't really know the difference.

Jorie and Cooper

This is my nephew Cooper, he's my brothers little boy. He is 6 weeks to the day older than Jorie. Almost to the minute, they are off by a half an hour!! They are the only 2 grandkids on my side so it's so fun to have them so close!! They had their pictures taken yesterday afternoon so we took these before we went. They weren't too happy. I am so excited to see the ones that we had taken!! This is my fam. My brother Trevor, my sister Kelli, Me, Cooper and Jorie.

Red underwear!!

Ok so Mindi and I have some learning moments tonight!!!! She taught me so much about my blog!! Kevin messed it up a while ago so I couldn't add anything!!! Thanks Mindi for helping me!! Kevin went deer hunting this weekend so he thought Jorie needed her very own red underwear!! Cute huh? Trap door and all!!! What a funny dad!!

Funny girl!

We painted Jorie's toes today. They don't look too good but what do you expect when you have a moving target!! I tried to do when she was asleep but she still didn't hold still. Hunter came over on Sunday and they were talking to each other. It was pretty cute. They had on their matching halloween slippers!! I took Jorie to the doctor yesterday for her 2 month check. She weighs 12 lbs 6 oz. She is in the 87th percentile for weight!!! She's just like her mom!!! She got her shots and she did pretty good with them. I had to get the flu shot too so I felt her pain!!!! She's such a good girl!!!!

Blessing Day

We blessed Jorie on Sunday. It was such an awesome day. Kevin did such an awesome job!! Jorie wasn't too happy but that's ok. Kevin's mom made her dress. It is beautiful!! She made the hat for her to wear but Kevin says we aren't pioneers and she had to wear a headband instead. He's so funny!! She looked so pretty!!!! We only got about 3 hours of sleep the night before so that wasn't too fun but oh well. Such is life!!!

Daddy's Girl!!!

What a proud papa!!! He loves to hold her in his chair. Last night she was talking to him and I was laughing so hard! She never talks that much to me! She just kept going and going. He turned her around and stopped talking to her and she got so mad!!! So, he talked to her some more and then she was happy!! It went on for about a half and hour!!! It was so cute! The dog picture is kinda fuzzy but oh well. They usually don't show much interest in Jorie but this day they were into her and she just watched everything they did. It was pretty funny. It's funny how careful they around her. If she's on the floor they walk way out around her and they don't play hard around her either. They're pretty smart I quess.

Good Morning!!

Jorie is so funny in the morning!!! She sleeps so good and when she wakes up she is all smiles!! She will be fussing and all I have to do is look at her and say good morning and she instantly starts smiling and talking to me. It's the best!!! She definately doesn't get that from her dad!!!!!
