Well we went down to Primary Children's today to meet with Jorie's surgeon. He was nice so that made me feel a little better!!! We scheduled her surgery for Dec. 17. He said it should be pretty easy. They may have to move some tendons around, which is what we were expecting. He also said that if he thinks her good thumb is going to keep growing crooked then they will put a little pin in it. Hopefully they won't have to do that, he just said there was a chance that could happen. We were going to wait until she was a few months older but the doctor said once they were at least 3 months old it was ok to give them the anesthesia. Plus if we do it before the end of the year we don't have to start over with our deductible. Fun insurance stuff!!! I will be very glad when it's all over and I can quit stressing about it!!! They said she will be in a soft cast for about a month after the surgery so she will be in one for Christmas. Fun huh? I'm just glad she's young enough she won't really know the difference.
It's been a while!

She is adorable. I'm glad you guys have some answers on what it will be like for the little girl..
I agree with you that it will be nice to get the surgery done before she starts using her hands more. Once she starts grabbing at toys and putting stuff in her mouth she'd be super annoyed to have a cast on. Good luck! She sure is a cutie!
Glad everything is going good and you have things set up for surgery. It will be nice to be done with! Good luck with everything.
Good luck with the surgery. Hope everything goes well. She sure is a cute little girl!
Oh that is good to get it done and out of the way. Smart thinking on the insurance stuff. That will be a tiny cast!
