Yellowstone 2009

We went on our annual Yellowstone trip last weekend. It was quite an interesting trip this time! First of all we decided that we shouldn't take two 1 year olds in the car for that long. They didn't have too much fun!! Really they were pretty good but it was a tone of work for Mindi and I!! We decided that next year they might have to stay home with grandmas!!! The weather was awesome and the fall leaves were georgeous! When we got there we found out the west entrace was closed and we were staying in West Yellowstone on Sat. night so we had to detour down by Old Faithful. That is quite a detour! Then we also found out there was a big fire there too so they were closing another main road off and on. We got in but we weren't sure if we were going to be able to get out!! Not good with the babies!! If we would have got stuck in, the only way to West would have been to go to Bozeman, a 6 hour detour!!! Mindi and I were very nervous about that, but not the boys, they didn't care!! Of course they didn't, they were in the front without the screaming children!!!! Luckily after driving around all day we were able to get to West. What a circus!!! All in all it was a great time. I'm already looking forward to next year!!!! Maybe kid free? We'll see. The fire was so cool to see!!! That was probably the coolest thing we saw!!!! Thanks Gibbs family for another great trip!! It's a great tradition!!

Two tornadoes

Mindi and I have been lucky to be able to switch babysitting days.
The other day when Hunter came over I locked all three of us in Jories room to play and I took this picture about ten minutes later. I can't believe how big of a mess two 1 year olds can make! Luckily they play really well together.... most of the time anyway!

Funny girl!!

So Jorie got this crown for her birthday and she CONSTANTLY wears it as a necklace. She puts it on right when she wakes up and wears it all day!! The pics aren't great but since she is always on the go they are the best I could do. Oh ya, do you like the camo hat with the princess crown? Nice!!

Our harvest!

A couple Sunday's ago we rode down to the corn maze and got to walk thru for a little while. It was pretty fun, Kevin says that was him going and not to ask for him to go again!! We'll see!! Then we came home and picked our pumkins. We had quite the pumpkin patch. We got over 20 pumpkins!!! Jorie was having a blast playing in the dirt! She seriously has the craziest hair!!! I don't quite know what to do with it!!

Peach Days

Last weekend Kevin went to Southern Utah to go hunting so Jorie and I went to Peach Days. They have an awesome parade. Jorie LOVES parades as you can see from the huge smile. We went with some friends from work and we had a blast!! My friends husband took us to the firestation and the kids got to sit in the fire trucks and honk the horns. They loved it. It was such a fun day. Thanks all for the good times!!!

The not so new do.

A couple of weeks ago I cut about 14 inches off of my hair. These pics aren't great but you get the idea. I LOVE it. It's so much easier to fix!!

Catching up

Ok since I haven't updated since May I figured it was about time!! We have had a very busy summer. Since Kevin got home from taxidermy school he has been to three different scout camps and now that hunting season is upon us I'm not sure when Jorie and I will see him again!! He has been working very hard on our garden and we have had a TON of yummy veggies. Kevin found out in August that he had skin cancer on his head. He had a little surgery to remove it and it looks good. He has to be really careful in the sun and stay covered up from now on. He better or I might just have to kick his butt!!!
Jorie is crawling all over and has started to walk a little. She is finally sleeping thru the night and says a few words. She says dog, dad, deer, that, and this. I'm pretty sure she told me no yesterday and I'm not too excited about that one!!! She is hilarious and she always keeps us laughing and on our toes!! She's such a blessing in our life. I have no idea what I did with all of my time before we had her!! The other day she emptied the qtips, unrolled a roll of toilet paper, emptied my purse and wallet and threw her lunch on the floor all in about two hours time. When I took her for her year old appt. the doctor was watching her and said, "Well she's quite busy isn't she?" I wanted to say, "Ya think?" I just love her so much!!!
I haven't been up to much. Just working and trying to keep everything moving along. For my birthday Kevin took me to Jackson for the weekend. It was much needed and he knew that!! It was nice to get away for a day. I am so blessed and I love all of our family and friends. Thank you all so much for everything you do for us. Without you we wouldn't be able to do anything!!!
